Maybe they heard Sketchfu was closing and decided they'd have some 'fun'.
On a writing site I go on, on New Years Eve, this group of spammers/trolls/hackers joined a writing group I'm in and spammed us big-time. When we tried to report them, they edited their comments and so the mods took their side. After that, we just deleted all the spam threads and ignored them, plus made another "base" on another site. It turned out they were a part of a big group of hackers and they decided they'd trash our group for New Years Eve. There are still a few of the hackers in the group, but they haven't done anything else so far. When they do, we just deletedeletedelete.

Yeah, but it's like you said -- you don't do stuff like these guys, you just do what you need to for yourself or when something isn't working. It's a good skill to have as long as you don't spam/troll peoples' profiles and groups and stuff.

Yeah. That would kind of suck. I don't totally know how it feels, but I probably will at some point. If I ever finish any full books, I intend to self-publish them, and that tends to have a bad connotation.
